  • Boys’ Soccer, Girls’ Soccer, and One Act Play tryouts will begin on August 29th and will run from 4PM to 6PM every day.  (Students do not need a physical for One Act Play.)
  • Football tryouts will begin on August 24th and will run from 4PM to 6PM each day.
  • All students trying out for an Interscholastic Athletic Activity MUST have a current VBMSL Athletic Physical Form  on file in the Student Activities Office PRIOR to the first day of tryouts and must be a registered CLMS student.  The Physical form is different from the Entrance to School Health Form. Many parents confuse the two forms.
  • The only physical form we can accept for the 2022-2023 school year is the form marked “UPDATED MAY 2021” in the upper left corner of the first page and it can be either the HS of the MS form.  NO OTHER FORMS CAN BE ACCEPTED AND THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • The Physical form must be signed and dated by a doctor.  The physical form must be dated by the doctor after May 1, 2022.  A doctor’s office or insurance company will tell the parents that a physical is good for one year but the VBCPS School Board Policy states that in order for a physical to be valid for a school year it MUST be dated after May 1.
  • Many local doctors’ offices and clinics have our old forms on file so it is extremely important that parents understand the doctor must fill out the updated form and CANNOT SUBMIT A DIFFERENT COMPUTERIZED VERSION OF THE FORM.
  • Tryout dates for all other sports will be advertised on our webpage.

Any student trying out for a Corporate Landing Middle School team is required to have an Athletic Physical on file in the Student Activities Office prior to tryouts.  The form must be complete and signed and dated by a physician after May 1, 2021 in order to be valid.  Please note that the Athletic Physical Form is different than the Entrance to School Health Form.  Many parents confuse the two forms, so please double check the form you have to make sure it is the correct from for Athletics.  We cannot allow any student to participate in any part of tryouts without the Athletic Physical completely filled out by the parent and signed and dated by the physician.  The Athletic Physical Form is available here.

Please ensure that students athletes have the following items for tryouts/practice:

  1. A completed sports physical approved by a medical doctor on the correct VBMSL form. A student may not tryout without a valid sports physical completed on a VBMSL form.
  2. Athletic attire and sneakers, cleats if you have them.
  3. Each student should bring his or her own water supply for tryouts due to Covid guidelines.
  4. If a student athlete is sick do not come to tryouts.
  5. Tryouts/Practices are closed to any parents or any spectators.  Please do not congregate on the school property, including by the fences, stands, or parking lot.  Remain in your cars at pick up time and your students will be released to you.
